When Chinyere, a child of Nigerian immigrants,  imagined her first day of middle school, she would have never guessed that having a  "different" name would leave her feeling so sad. After learning about herself and her culture, she realizes that her name and her existence are the most beautiful things to ever grace this world. Although categorized as a children's book, Chinyere is for anyone who has ever been made to feel ashamed of their culture or who they are.
